Calabresi’s career so far

A 22-year-old right-footed centre-back, he was one of the stars as Stroppa’s Foggia side finished the season in excellent fashion, almost making the playoffs. Disciplined and solid, he’s focused when marking and follows tactical instructions well. Arturo Calabresi has picked up a good deal of experience in Serie B over the past three years. Loaned out by Roma, he played for Livorno, Brescia, Spezia and Foggia. In the past season, he also did well when moved to playing at right-back, adapting to the role while showing defensive characteristics.

Originally an attacking midfielder, he moved back to become a pillar in defence for Roma’s youth teams. He also moved through the Italy youth teams, playing in the European Championship and World Cup at Under-17 level and he made his Under-21 debut when he was called up in 2015 by Di Biagio. He has three Under-21 caps to his name. Physically strong, he’s good in the air and has scored twice in his career with both goals coming from set pieces for Livorno and Brescia. In June 2018, he signed for the Rossoblu on a permanent basis.
