Condolences for the passing of Carlo Mazzone

Carlo Mazzone sadly passed away today at the age of 86 in Ascoli Piceno. A famous Italian Head Coach for over 30 years, he was in charge of Bologna on three occasions: in Serie B in the 1985/86 season, and in Serie A in the 1998/99 campaign and from 2003 to 2005. In particular, his team of 98/99 expressed one of the most entertaining and efficient styles of play seen in modern times, winning the Intertoto Cup and reaching two UEFA Cup and Coppa Italia semi-finals, leaving lasting memories in the hearts of our supporters.

Everyone at Bologna Fc 1909 is saddened for the loss of a man and professional who always honoured the Rossoblù colours with passion and dedication. Our deepest condolences go to his family and loved ones.
