Dan Ndoye to Bologna
Bologna FC 1909 has announced the permanent signing of attacker Dan Ndoye from FC Basel.
The sixth Swiss player in Bologna’s history, Dan is a right winger with strong physical attributes and several seasons as a professional with growing numbers, despite his young age.
Developed at the Losanna Academy, he made his debut for the First Team in the 2019/20 season. In two years he registered 13 goals in the league and cup. He then transferred to Ligue 1 club Nice, where he was often deployed as a wide midfielder, often coming on in the second half; he found more space and confidence in the Europa League group stage, however, sometimes played as a centre forward by coach Vieira, from which he scored two important goals against Leverkusen and Slavia Prague. He returned to his homeland with Basel in the summer of 2021, playing in the Conference League, deployed on both the left and right wings, showcasing his skills with goals, assists, enviable running ability, remarkable speed and quality in one-v-ones and dribbling. He made his debut for the Senior National Team in Switzerland’s Nations League victory over Spain in September 2022, after scoring 10 goals for the U21s. He reached the Conference League semi-finals with Basel, eliminated eventually by Fiorentina last May. Now, in August 2023, he has moved to Bologna.
