“We’re pleased because we came through adversity and created chances today as well. We wanted to get a win for the gaffer but we at least managed to stay in the game. It wasn’t easy today but we did well. It wasn’t an easy week for us because there’s been a stomach bug going around, which affected our prep. We wanted to go into the game with a complete squad but those that did play gave it their all, even in tough conditions like we had today. I’m happy for Aaron and for Nicola Sansone, who deserved a goal after all this time. We don’t give up any ground and we’ll give it a good go on Wednesday against Inter.”
