Di Vaio, contract extention until 2027

Bologna FC 1909 announces that they have extended Director of Sport, Marco Di Vaio‘s contract until 30 June 2027.

“I am happy to announce the renewal of Marco di Vaio’s contract”, said President Joey Saputo. “I have known Marco since 2012, when I offered him to come and play in Montreal. I knew him as a player, and then here at Bologna as a leader. Over the years, I have seen him grow and I have seen his professional qualities improve: in the last couple of seasons, working alongside Technical Coordinator Giovanni Sartori, he has contributed to the growth of the team and the improvement of our youth setup. I strongly believe that it is right to continue along with this technical project”.

“Marco has been with us since the start of this sporting project”, added Managing Director Claudio Fenucci. “He has seen the Club grow and he has perfected his professionalism over the years. The work that he is doing in the technical department led by Giovanni Sartori deserves continuity due to the top results and the growth of the team. I am very happy about this renewal also from a human point of view, as I have created a great relationship with him”.

“I am honoured to continue this exciting adventure”, said Marco di Vaio. “It was a goal and a strong desire for me to continue this path that has given some great results. We still have a lot of achievements to hunt down this season, and more to come in the future. I would like to thank President Joey Saputo for his faith that he has shown me over the years.
