Donadoni: “There’s little to rescue from that result, it’s a lesson for the league”

Roberto Donadoni spoke after #BFCCittadella. “This evening has to teach us something,” he said. “There were lots of incidents which complicated things, above all the rash red card, but we still need to be better at managing the situation. All that happened will help us by being a lesson for the league. Football is made of running, spirit and determination and Cittadella showed more of that than we did. We need the spirit of people who want to fight, sacrifice themselves and never lose a tackle. Now, we have to turn the page quickly, in a week a strong opponent will be coming here. If we don’t approach them with the right determination that is a problem. Our determination needs to be different from here to Sunday. There’s nobody in particular I’d point the finger at, nobody was defendable tonight. They have to be focused and not make excuses.”
