Fabbian joins Bologna

Bologna FC 1909 is delighted to announce that midfielder Giovanni Fabbian has joined the Club on a permanent basis from FC Internazionale Milano.

An attacking midfielder, 2003-born Fabbian had a stellar campaign with Reggina in Serie B last season. A Padova product before joining Inter at 15, Giovanni is adept at making late runs into the box but also excels without the ball due to his intensity and aggression in duels.

A key member for Christian Chivu’s Primavera side before joining Reggina, last season was a stunning debut campaign in men’s football. Under Inzaghi in Calabria, he proved that he is adept in both phases of the game; he can take part in build-up from deep and also in a more advanced possession, where he is brilliant at receiving the ball between the lines or arriving at the back post to get on the end of a cross. He often scores with his head due to his great timing and physicality, contributing to Reggina’s good early-season form last year. He has also starred in international youth football and made his debut for Italy U21 against Ukraine back in March.
