Gastaldello to Sky: “This is a crucial week of preparation”

Daniele Gastaldello was today interviewed live on Sky Sport 24: “By halting training and holding a minute’s silence at 10:25, we wanted to pay our respects to the memories of the victims from the Bologna station massacre. In terms of the squad’s development, we have experienced wide margins of growth, however there is still a lot of work to do. I think that these few important friendlies will help us, especially in view of the Coppa Italia which is almost upon us. We must be ready, especially because the start of the season is not long after and it will not be easy. We are now working on a 4-2-3-1 system, with two men in front of the defence to give us a hand. The inclusion of three players behind the striker will also allow us to have more of the ball in attack and help us create more chances on goal. Gonzalez and De Maio have both arrived and offer other options in my position, therefore there will be more competition. This is good for all of us and will provide us with the motivation to work even harder.”
