Happy Birthday Bologna!

873 different players, 3676 matches, thousands of balls that found the net and loads more that landed who knows where. Seven Serie A titles, two Central European Cups, one Paris Expo Trophy, one Upper Italian Cup, one Mitropa Cup, two Coppa Italia titles, one Anglo-Italian League Cup, one Intertoto Cup. What a journey. Some tears but also lots and lots of laughs.

Visit via Orefici today just off Piazza Maggiore and stop for a moment. Nearby on the left there used to be a building which isn’t there anymore, on the corner of an alley which used to be very short and finish on via Rizzoli which has also since ceased to exist. There, 107 years ago, this was all born from nothing. It was for a laugh, for passion and for the curiosity of some youngsters who just wanted to run around with a ball.

Allow yourself to smile and retake those steps where that passion we spoke of was born.
