Happy Birthday Kennet Andersson!

Today is a special commemoration for all Bologna fans, as Kennet Andersson is celebrating his 50th birthday! The icon from Eskilstuna is one of the most popular modern Rossoblu figures among fans and is certainly one of the best foreigners to have ever played for the club. During his four seasons with Bologna from 1996 to 2000, he made 141 appearances and scored a total of 38 goals. A striker of great physicality and strong in the air, Andersson was also a colossal figure with the Sweden National team. He immediately fell in love with the city upon his arrival, with an affection that was soon also shared by the supporters. His headers and ability to protect the ball were celebrated by all of his offensive partners throughout his time with the club, whether that be Fontolan, Kolyvanov, Baggio or Signori, all during the fantastic era of Gazzoni. He made his Rossoblu debut back on August 28th 1996 in Bari, then scoring against Torino in the Coppa Italia. He then went onto to become a hero in both the Intertoto and Uefa Cup, remaining with Bologna until 2000 when he then joined Fenerbache. Happy Birthday Kennet from everyone here at Bologna!
