Ibrahima Mbaye is an African Champion
For the first time in their history, Senegal have won the Africa Cup of Nations. Yesterday evening, they beat Egypt on penalties following a 0-0 draw after extra time. One of the new African champions is Ibrahima Mbaye, who has become the second-ever Rossoblù player to achieve this feat following on from Pierre Wome, who did so with Cameroon in 2000 and then 2002. Mbaye made three appearances in the tournament, featuring against Zimbabwe and Guinea during the group stage and then against Cape Verde in the round of 16. Congratulations to Ibra from everyone at Bologna!
