Inzaghi: “No excuses, we have to wake up”

Filippo Inzaghi had this to say following this evening’s 4-1 defeat against Sampdoria:

“There aren’t any excuses, now’s the time to wake up. We have to take responsibility and admit we’ve made mistakes. We conceded two ridiculous goals tonight, and a team that wants to avoid relegation can’t afford to make such mistakes. We were meticulous in our preparations for this game, only to then make the most basic mistakes and ruin the encouraging aspects. It then becomes difficult to talk about chances created and our attitude. I’m disappointed and angry, and from now on those who are not foaming at the mouth will sit in the stands. We will now reflect on things as a club, but I remain convinced we can get out of the hole we find ourselves in.”
