Nicolò Cambiaghi joins Bologna
Bologna FC 1909 is pleased to announce the signing of forward Nicolò Cambiaghi from Atalanta BC on a permanent deal.
A two-footed attacker born in 2000, he possesses fantastic technical and athletic qualities and has spent the last two seasons on loan as a starter at Empoli. He has constantly displayed a real spirit of sacrifice, a willingness to take aim at goal (including from distance), remarkable speed, and quality in one-on-one situations.
He enjoyed a positive campaign in front of goal in his first season in Tuscany while also becoming a key figure for Italy at under-21 level. In 2023/24, despite Empoli changing their coach twice, he consistently remained in the side. He was also among the most effective U23 players in terms of successful dribbles across Europe. He loves to assume responsibility and create openings whenever he gets the ball, and he undoubtedly made big strides forward in his two years at the Azzurri on loan from Atalanta (with whom he won two Primavera Scudetto titles), and during his spells at Reggiana and Pordenone in Serie B. A real fighter, he’s now moved to the Rossoblù after scoring eight goals in 66 appearances for Empoli.
