Theate’s career so far

The fifth Belgian in Bologna’s history, Arthur is a tall, left-footed centre-back who is strong in the air, has good technique, is attentive in his marking and has a big personality. Born in 2000, he developed at Standard Liège and was a regular presence in his country’s national youth teams. He made his debut in the top flight with Oostende in August 2020, quickly demonstrating confidence in his role as he became an immediate pillar in the back four of De Kustboys.

He collected a total of 29 league appearances for the Flanders club, all as a starter, and scored three important goals, in addition to another six games and two goals in the Conference League playoffs. He often physically dominates his opponents, even those who are gifted in stature, and he was one of the key players in Oostende’s excellent season as they finished fifth. From August 2021, he joins the Rossoblù on a temporary basis with an obligation to buy.
