Thiago Motta’s post-match comments

Following the defeat Thiago Motta commented:

“We tried from the start, even hitting the crossbar after 20 seconds. I’m happy with my team and I’m glad the boys left the pitch to applause from the fans. Coming back against Milan isn’t easy, it’s a shame we didn’t manage to score one because I’m convinced that we could have gotten back into the game. Beukema and Ndoye are good players, they fit in well. The important thing is to create chances like we did tonight: the goals will come, I’m satisfied with what I saw us do today against a squad that is built to win the title.”
