Thiago Motta’s post-match comments

Thiago Motta spoke following today’s win:

“I am happy because this is an amazing group to be part of. These lads are workers, there’s healthy competition between them, and we always need everyone. I want to compliment them all, even those who didn’t play, I experienced the intensity of the game from the dugout right until the very end. For the quality of the squad, we could anyway do better in possession. Today, for example, we were very good for 25 minutes of the first half at handling the pressure. To be able to compete with this kind of team, that doesn’t let you play and knows how to cause trouble, we still have to grow. I am satisfied with the respect I see between the lads every day and the desire they have to work for the team, this is how personal skills and individuality also come into play”.
