THIJS DALLINGA JOINS BOLOGNA

Bologna FC 1909 is pleased to announce the signing of striker Thijs Dallinga from Toulouse FC.

The eighth Dutch player in our club’s history, Thijs is a technically skilled forward with an excellent goal-scoring record, having netted 73 goals in the last three seasons. With his impressive stature and physicality, he excels in both creating and finishing opportunities, showcasing a remarkable ability to score in various ways, including headers and acrobatic efforts. He effectively finds space among defenders and knows where to position himself to get on the end of crosses.

A versatile forward, Thijs made a significant impact in the Dutch Serie B with Excelsior at the age of 21, finishing as the top scorer with 36 goals, earning the title of best player of the season, and achieving promotion to the Eredivisie. He was then signed by Toulouse in Ligue 1, leading them to their first-ever title by winning the Coupe de France, where he scored 6 goals in 6 appearances, once again topping the scoring charts. In his second season with Toulouse, he continued to enhance his reputation with additional goals in the league and earned an international call-up for the Netherlands, debuting against Gibraltar. He also chipped in with 4 goals in 8 Europa League matches, including two against Liverpool.

In his last season, Thijs scored 19 goals and provided 5 assists in 44 matches. As of July 2024, he joins Bologna.
