Vincenzo Italiano’s comments on the 0-0 draw: ‘We could have done much better. The match was similar to the one against Empoli, we were poor in the first half, and they had a few chances due to our mistakes. We improved in the second half but it wasn’t enough to win. Away from home, we need to improve our passing and quality: we expected a tough, hard-fought game, and I had rested some of the players after Bergamo. It’s understandable: Lecce are tough, and we’ll take this point home with us, which in any case gives us continuity.’
